The Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Research (ADGER) comprises two teams, one focusing on providing research administration support and one focused on providing graduate student support.
Research and Innovation Services
Our research services team can assist faculty and students who are applying for research funding with a number of activities including:
- Provide expert advice on opportunities and processes for obtaining external funds to support research
- Assist the investigators with budget preparation, bio-sketches, current and pending, and letters of support
- Endorse proposals on behalf of the University and submit to external sponsors
- Provide access to resources to transition technologies generated through scholarship to commercialization

Graduate Education
Our graduate education team is dedicated to ensuring that top-notch graduate students have the opportunity to pursue a world-class education in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Our team assists with a range of services, including:
- Graduate applications and admission
- College-level funding, as well as identifying other common funding mechanisms for graduate study
- Identifying opportunities for graduate students to get involved in the broader Penn State community through events such as the Graduate Exhibition
