The University and the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences join in your personal joy and satisfaction in achieving your academic goal. We want to make the commencement ceremony an enjoyable one for you and your guests, in keeping with Penn State's proud academic heritage.
Commencement exercises for Penn State graduate students are held three times a year: at the end of the fall and spring semesters and at the end of the summer session.
Spring 2021 Graduation: Friday, May 7, 2021
Penn State will host in-person commencement ceremonies in May. Virtual and livestream options also will be available for students, friends and family members who are unable to attend or prefer to participate online.
College of Earth and Mineral Sciences Graduation for Master's & Doctoral Candidates
- Date: Friday, May 7, 2021
- Time: 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Beaver Stadium
There will be a limit of two guests per graduate to support physical distancing, seating accommodations and stage placement. Tickets will be required for all graduates and guests attending ceremonies in Beaver Stadium, and graduates will be required to register for the tickets.
We will remain flexible, as there may be factors outside of our control, including changing virus conditions or changes in public health guidelines, that could necessitate pivoting to a fully virtual ceremony at any time.
